Since Kaiwaka is such a small town we need to start looking now. Because the cafe is open 7 days, and over summer would be good to open from 7am -6pm we'll need at least 2 shifts. They did say the coffee was really great though!<br />Karen made our new ginger slice again, this time with some brazil nuts as well as almonds in the base. It is very addicitive and I am sorely tempted every day.<br />Peter is more interested in the smashies we have added to the menu. I am still working on the ingredients. but the main components are boiled potatoes which are broken into small pieces and then fried in a frying pan with marinated tofu or bacon, depending on ones eating habits, served on a bed of greens with mayo and tomato sauce.<br />We have also started serving the vegan chocolate cake with hot plums and icecream as a treat for cold days.
